Our Story – How Jack Inspired Oye Bark

It all began with a chance encounter in Kasauli. During a bike trip, one of our co-founder retired Naval Officer and his friends' passionate bikers and sports enthusiasts met a remarkable street dog who would change everything. This brown companion, later named Jack, followed them for three days through rugged mountain trails, shared packed lunches, and slept by the campfire. Jack wasn’t just a loyal trail mate he became the spark behind a much larger idea.

During those days in the wilderness, something became clear: Jack thrived on simple, natural food far better than many city dogs struggling with artificial, imported treats. That experience raised a powerful question:

“Why not create pet products that honor the natural instincts and needs of Indian dogs, made right here at home?”

But Jack’s impact didn’t stop there. He reminded us of something even deeper that every dog, whether from the streets or a home, deserves love, care, and a real chance at a better life.
